Thinking of moving to Falls Church to be closer to my husband's job, but want to target neighborhoods walkable to metro? Any suggestions or advice? |
| Most of Falls Church City (22046) is within a mile or two of EFC or WFC metro. We live about a mile from each. My husband bikes to Metro but it would be a pretty quick walk. |

EFC is actually in arlington, and there are arlington addresses that are very walkable to that metro.
Not Falls church city schools, though. |
| Check out the neighboorhoods walkable to WFC metro (most in 22043, feed into Haycock/Longfellow/McLean school pyramid, very good). E.g., Westhampton neighborhood off Haycock Rd. |
| I live in Falls Hill. FFX County, off Shreve Road. It is walkable to WFC metro. Elementary school is Shrevewood and the high school is Marshall. Absolutely wonderful neighborhood!!!! I couldn't be happier there. |
| We just moved to Falls Church City 22046. We are less than 1/2 mile from the metro and we both walk there everyday to get to the city. Nice neighborhood that is also walkable to a cute deli/ice cream joint, not too far from weekly farmers market, close to grocery shopping, etc. |
| Arlington 22213 and parts of 22205 very close to EFC metro. |
| We live in 22205-- Madison Manor neighborhood, in Arlington. It is walkable to the EFC metro. We are on the "outskirts" of the neighborhood and can walk to the metro in 15 minutes. We love it! McKinley Elementary School is our neighborhood elementary school and it was just ranked the best elementary school in Northern Virginia. We are close to the bike path and lots of playgrounds. |
