Has anyone ever gotten a good deal through this website? I live in NW DC, and find that most of the activities seem to be very VA-focused. For example, today the deals include WWE Wrestlemania in Fairfax (just, no), American Girl Live (no),and other activities that seem very far.
Just wondering whether to cancel, or whether I should hold out for any good deals. |
| I’ve used it a lot, I’m in Maryland. I have the app so I just looked at my past vouchers and I’ve used it for Zava zone a few times, rock n jump, a play at the olney theater and 2 plays in Arlington where Grandpa lives and takes them a few times. 2 camps, a butterfly exhibit, a paint your own pottery deal. One hotel out of town (Lancaster). |
Cancel what? I get an email blast advertising some of their deals. If I'm interested, I click the link and learn more about it. |
OP. Ah, that’s what I meant, unsubscribe from emails. Need more coffee.

| I just bought School of Rock tickets thru there for DC. |
| I've found that the majority of deals are for stuff way out in the burbs. So I s'il subscribe but usually delete the emails pretty quickly. |

Used it for just a couple of camps.Bottom line is that good camps don’t use them unless it’s something brand new. If there is something of value, it turns out not to have spots when contact the actual camp.

| I love CertifiKID. They had great offers and it is a good resources for kids activities and camps. They have been around since my kids were little. |
| I used it for a spring break vacation deal (Williamsburg). It was a good price. |
| I’ve used it several times. I think it tends to have better offerings for families than the other deal list serves. I’ve used it for Kennedy Center tickets, Maryland science center membership, things like zavazone. I’m currently thinking about the red applie circus tickets and the all fired up half off deal. Some of the better deals are weekday only so I think a SAHM might get more use out of it though. |
| Timely thread, as my daughter and I just saw School of Rock at National Theatre last night using a Certifikid deal! I personally use them all the time, including for camps. They have deals for National Building Museum and that new Law Enforcement museum right now, too, which is awesome with all the free museums shut down. |
I think most of the kid stuff is out in the burbs (camps, trampoline parks, etc.) |
Be careful on the ticket deal. The ticket prices look good but there can be a hefty service charge - like up to $20 per ticket. |
| I did not have a good experience with the classes we bought through them. It does seem to be “Groupon” kind of deal which often I don’t ever go back but might be good tickets and try out classes. |

OP here. I think Certifikid may indeed skew more heavily towards VA. Just took a look at their camps page, based on an email from this morning advertising their camps deals.
There are 73 full-day camps listed--however, when I sort by DC and MoCo only, only 21 camps show up. Actually, only 2 in DC, and many of the MoCo options are pretty far out there--N. Potomac, Germantown, Gaithersburg, etc. |
