| We did TESE and PICSI and still got only three viable embryos of good quality from 8 eggs. The last one was day 7. All of the embryos are of great quality. We have sent them out for PGS testing I hope everything comes back normal. I am very stressed as my DH has high DNA fragmentation and I was hoping this would help us get more embryos. |
| Good luck. You only need 1. Sometimes cycles with fewer embryos have better quality embryos than ones with higher numbers. |
| Best of luck! Hopefully everything comes back great after PGS testing. 3/8 actually sounds pretty good to me! |
| I know that it's disappointing, but there is always a fair amount of attrition from eggs to viable embryos. I ended up with 8 blasts (5-day) from 23 eggs. It might take another round but you did make 3 good ones! Best of luck. |

3 from 8 eggs isn't bad at all, it's actually spot on. Normal fertilization rate is around 70-80%. Blasts from that are about 50% and normals from those are about 50%, assuming you're under 35. Over 35 it'll generally be progressively less as egg quality diminishes. So far it sounds good, but you definitely need to adjust expectations on the PGS results. I hope it works out for you - I've been there!

+1 3 out of 8 is not bad at all and expecting them all to be PGS normal will only set you up for disappointment. |
+1000 We only had 1 normal out of 3 IVFs with TESE and PICSI. Keep expectations reasonable. |
