| Is there somewhere I can see the class sizes and number of adults for the PK3 classes at various charters? I haven't been taking note at open houses and want to compare. |
|
Not in one place.
Some may have it on their websites. Check the family/student handbooks. |
| It may also vary year to year, so you might want to ask about that as well. |
| They usually aren't going to have any less than a 1:8 ratio, I don't think! I'm not sure if you can rely on guarantees beyond that. |
Not necessarily. The Montessoris are mixed age and typically have 2:24 |
| IME most classes are 18-24 kids with one teacher, one teacher assistant, and sometimes a second assistant or aide. A few under enrolled programs have smaller classes, like 14-16 kids with one teacher and one assistant. |
| don't know about the charters maybe just email or call the ones you are interested in and ask? in DC if it is a early action /title 1 school prk 3 can't be over 16 kids I believe. The rules for Title 1 are federal head start rules not dcps. |
