We're in week 3 and there is no shutdown thread here. Businesses downtown are in the red. Commutes downtown are easy. Trump and the GOP's clear goals are to hold out as long as possible to destroy the DC economy and punish federal employees. It's clear as day.

I don't think his goals are to destroy DC or hurt Fed employees. He may be willing to have some of that as a side effect, but that's not his main objective.
