pumpkin ice cream

| My son has been asking for pumpkin ice cream ever since Halloween. We had gotten it at Trader Joes either last yr, or the yr before, but they no longer carry it. Any ideas of a local store or ice cream shop that may have it so I can satisfy his craving? I did not see it at safeway or whole foods in the more gourmet ice creams they carry. TIA! |

Yes, pumpkin is our favorite at Max's! Max's Best Ice Cream 2416 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC (202) 333-3111 Haven't been in there for a bit--pp, have you seen them selling pumpkin this season? Otherwise people might want to call ahead. |

Pretty sure that Edy's makes a pumpkin ice cream, available seasonally, so you should be able to find it in your local supermarket.

| Max's is great! Good old fashioned Basked Robbins has it every year, too. Also check out Tropical on 16th Street by Georgia -- one of the best ice creams shops on town. it's just as good as Max's. (And they sell my favorite -- Guiness ice cream.) |

edy's does make a pumpkin ice cream. i have also heard baskin robbins does pumpkin pie ice cream.
the best i've had is at miller farms in pg county. i think it's fort washington. they also have apple cider donuts. |

We were at Max's yesterday for some pumpkin ice cream, they had "Spicy Pumpkin Ice Cream" and "Spicy Pumpkin Yogurt". Also Dairy Godmother in Old Town Alexandria sometimes has a daily special of pumpkin custard.
