| My DS is due for his second dose the week of November 20th. I haven't seen any local clinics that run past mid november. Does anybody know of any? |
| I am in the same boat as OP for the second dose for my 16 month old. December will be too late. This is really annoying. Especially, given the fact that DC was giving out vaccine to non-priority groups. |
| My son is due for his booster November 17th. Would November 14th (the last DC clinic) be too early? I'm kind of thinking that might be our best shot...have no idea when his pediatrician will get more supply. |

Don't forget to check the CVS MinuteClinics. Lately it has limited availability in some locations near Washington DC. But it changes from day to day.

| Minute clinics do not offer infant shots, unfortunately. |

From MinuteClinic website:
"MinuteClinic vaccinates 18 months and older. 24 months in Massachusetts" |

I am in the same boat. DD got first does at clinic in MoCo October 21. It was mist. I was thinking about hitting DC clinics on the 14th, but from my reading it is NOT ok to go less than 28 days between doses of the mist. For a shot, 21 days would be acceptable, but not preferred. FYI, I gleaned this info from the CDC website under provider information, not in the general public information.
The second does doesn't have to be the same type of vaccine (mist or shot), but I can't find anything saying I can go shorter than 28 days if the second dose is a shot and the first dose was mist. |
| IMHO, this was a big screw-up. If your child received the first of two doses, officials should have automatically set aside a slot for the second. If we can't get the second doses for our children, it was a complete waste of time and resources getting the first. |
| Not a complete waste because the single dose does provide some immunity but I agree that it is annoying. I'm hoping DC's pediatrician has the vaccine by the time we need the second shot. |
