New to high school
What do guys wear these days? Realize we didn’t buy boots last year ... |
|
Sneakers
Sperrys |
| At my daughter's high school: converse, adidas, nikes and boots are lots of UGGs and some Doc Martens. But girls wear all kinds of boots, mostly the comfortable, furry on the inside inside, kind. |
I'm so sorry, I though you were asking for a girl. I thought you were a kid asking what do you guys wear, not what guys wear. Sorry about that. But I see boys with adidas, nikes, and converse tennis shoes more than boots. |

LL Bean Duck Boots or those Timberland (I think?) construction looking boots.
|
| DS has a pair of Timberland boots. They are comfortable and waterproof, so he wears them quite a bit. |
| Mine has addidas shoes, and "adult" style shoes and winter boots from Nordstrom Rack. |
Yep except mine who wears nike sneakers year round |
Ha! OP here ----that's what DS said he would do, but the mom in me is like, "no, I need to express ship some boots to this house with 3-5 inches of snow coming!"

Ds says
“hipsters wear timberlands, Bean boots maybe, if they’re extra preppy. Most guys don’t wear boots, unless high tops count” |
| This year My 15yo son has Columbia boots for at home only — to shovel snow, make snowman with sisters, or walk the dog. For school he is not walking IN snow, so he wears his Vans, converse, or Nike year-round. |
| i teach high school and none of my boy students would be caught dead wearing snow boots to school ... or any boots at all really. A couple wear old school Timbs but you have to have a certain style for that. Otherwise they all wear the standard Nikes or Vans, even in the cold. |
| My 16 year old has Nike for sports, Van's and Sperrys. When he decides his basketball shoes not fit for basketball, he will also wear them to school. He does not own any boots. |
+1 from another high school teacher. I’ve noticed less wearing shorts year round this year. Definitely regular Nike or Vans with athletic pants or jeans. |
|
My 17 year old has some "winterized" Nike SB and Vans high tops that are insulated, waterproof, and work fine for smaller amounts of snow, but still look like normal sneakers.
