Apropos of older men and younger women...

Women over 50 are too OLD to love: French author, 50, sparks outrage with claims he is 'incapable' of falling for a partner his own age - and prefers the 'extraordinary' bodies of 25-year-olds

French author Yann Moix, 50, claimed women over 50 are 'invisible' to him
'The body of a woman of 50 is not extraordinary at all,' he said in an interview
The TV presenter added he prefers the 'younger' bodies of women half his age

A 50-year-old French author has sparked outrage by claiming women over 50 are 'invisible' to him.

Yann Moix, a TV presenter and prize-winning writer, said it is 'not possible' to love a woman his own age and that he prefers 'younger women's bodies'.

'Come on now, let’s not exaggerate. That's [over 50] is not possible … too, too old,' he said in an interview with the French edition of Marie Claire.
...
Responding to the outrage, he told RTL radio, he was not 'responsible' for his taste in women.

'I like who I like and I don't have to answer to the court of taste,' he said

I find that it’s amazing being invisible to predators.

I can pretty much get away with anything while having less of the rape and sexual harassment and unwanted advances I’ve received my entire life from men like this.

I can’t wait to be rich, happy and “invisible”. 10 years till I’ve made it!

A link from a rag magazine about some old angry man.

Not sure why someone would post this.

And?

I'd love to see a bunch of 25-year-old women basically say, "Nope, you're too old" to him publicly. Because seriously, what emotionally healthy woman that age is going to pick his old guy balls over a cute, together guy her own age?

It’s going to be someone who doesn’t love him back, just his money. But I think he knows that and doesn’t care. He probably likes the control.

Who cares?

The irony is that he looks 60. It would be one thing if he looked like Ryan Phillippe or Mark Wahlberg, or some guy that is super fit and youthful for his age, but this guy looks like a catcher's mitt with a 5:00 shadow.

What it ultimately comes down to is that you can't expect to date someone who looks WAY better than you (unless you're rich).

Even if you’re rich. He’s going to get a screwed up gold digger and someone with Daddy issues - not a mentally healthy person.

Whatever we think about someone who's X years old, remember that you either were or will reach that age if you live long enough so stop with the ageism.

He probably assumes that most women are gold diggers so it might as well be a young, hot one.

Yes and in the same way I wasn’t ogling 62 year old men when I was 18 I am not ogling them now- when I’m in my 60s I’m sure my wrk kilt bits will be happily snuggled against someone else’s wrinkly saggy bits.

It’s this idea what a man whose 60 declares a 28 year old woman to be on a steep downhill past prime slide that I find off putting.

He could be less of an ass about it, but it sounds like he's something of a "I tell it like it is"/"shock jock" guy in France.

This is hardly amazing news. Both males and females look better in their youth. Aging isn't attractive but I'll gladly take it over the alternative.

Of course youth is great, better looking, more energy, the fact that he has to come out and make it a statement makes him look stupid.

The whole thing of men coming out and using youth to put women down is pathetic. Perhaps women should start expecting all men to have a six pack and great physique like Chris Helmsworth. Most men don't look like that but expect such beauty in a female, when in reality they are nothing much themselves to look at. Oh your skinny great but what about your face and do you have muscles, no, oh but you put that woman down for growing old, ok then. Men love to hold this over women, oh your 30 you've hit the wall. Is that how men see women solely as sex objects to be looked at - how sad and creepy. And yes when you see older men staring at young girls it's creepy.

Of course people throw back that men age more gracefully and they can get younger women, however only if the paycheck is right. When do you see a really hot girl with an ugly obese broke guy - never. So the story isn't new he will continue to buy his young flesh, good for him, I'm sure their conversations are riveting but is this really news.

I think the Internet has given both men and women unrealistic expectations. Now, with seemingly endless options, everyone thinks that they can do better.
