Health and Medicine
My son missed 3 and my other child is on day 4 of missed school. I hate that they've missed so much school, but both of them had their flu symptoms going on 6-7 days. High fever (101-103) for 3 days and low grade for another 2 or 3. Anyway, is this the norm?
The one with the mild case missed three days. The one with the more severe case (still just normal flu symptoms) missed a full week - got sick on Friday evening, was miserable through Tuesday, didn't lose the fever until Wednesday, still exhausted through Friday so stayed home.
My son developed symptoms on Sunday and has been sick all week. The ped said he'd probably be able to return today, but he's just not well enough. He had the seasonal flu in March. That was actually worse. This one is different. He's had a lot of different symptoms (fever, diarrhea, muscle aches, headache, nasal congestion & sneezing, minor cough), but his energy level has been better than it was with the seasonal flu. Anyway, that's more info. than you wanted. I fully expect him to return to school on Monday.

11yo missed 7 days, 9yo missed 6 days. They did not have it at the same time. It's a miracle I am still employed.
