If my wife is being induced in 2 weeks would I qualify for the swine flu shot?

Hello, my wife is going to be induced in two weeks---so I will technically be under the same roof as a newborn--anyone else in my situation? and will they give me the swine flu shot? Thanks

Yes, after the baby is born.

You qualify right now. My husband got it with me and our older kids a couple of weeks ago. I was 34 weeks at the time and the nurse specifically asked me to bring him along so he could get his shot too.

I certainly think you should qualify right now. Technically she could have the baby any day now and if you are sick and she is wiped out from childbirth, who takes care of the baby once you are released? If you wait until the baby is born, it will be a while before the immunity builds up.

You qualify now - you are about to be a caregiver of someone under 6 months.

Yes, last night a man got one in a very similar circumstance and they were more than happy to give it to him.
