I just turned 30 and we’ve been TTC for exactly 2 1/2 years this month. I was diagnosed with PCOS & hypothyroidism. We met with a RE last March and she was the one who gave me my official diagnosis after running a bunch of tests. She said everything came back fine for me and my husband is fine. She said pretty much I just don’t ovulate frequently. We’ve been holding off on moving forward with meds as I’ve been working on weight loss before we start Femara. I’m about 10-15 lbs from where I want to be and hope to reach back out to her next month to get started with a cycle of femara.
We’ve been trying on our own this last year just to see if it happened but it hasn’t. I’m currently on cycle day 131 (last period ended sept 4) and am going to call in for a prescription of Provera tomorrow. I had *thought* we’d maybe have luck last month as I was tracking with ovulation strips and had two tests that weee *this* close to being positive. I took a pregnancy test today just to see but it was negative so clearly I just need to restart a cycle. Has anyone had any luck getting pregnant naturally with PCOS? I take 2000mg of metformin, 110mcg of levothyroxine and started myo-insitol in November and just bought Vitex to try also. I also take daily vitamin d gummies & prenatal gummies. Anything else I should try? |

Yes got pregnant 3 times now with PCOS. What finally worked for me was temping each morning and sticking to a regular lower carb diet.
I also take a baby aspirin but not sure if that really does anything. However my cycles were never really longer than 45 days at worst. My friend had cycles long like yours and she ended up needing an IUI. Good luck OP! |
| I have PCOS and have gotten pregnant three times with two successful pregnancies. I never have periods so used Clomid the first time and Letrozole the second two times, none were monitored. Good luck! |
