Are they giving the H1n1 shot to dad's of newborns?

Hello Folks, just wanted to know if they are giving men the swine flu shot who are taking care of newborns. We have an infant and I want to get protected but do not want to head all the way to the flu shot clinic to wait in line for three hours if they are going to turn me away. Thank you

I would think so - caregivers are moms and dads. I think it even covers all people living in the same household.

At the Arlington Clinic they were giving it to all "care givers" which included moms, dads, babysitters and older siblings who otherwise didn't qualify because they were school age. You should have no problems. If you wanted to be safe, if you won't have the baby with you, bring something from the hospital to show that you have an infant.

On a similar note: my wife is being induced in 2 weeks--->any chance they will give me the swine flu shot? even though we do not have an infant yet?
