| I liked it better than both the BBC and Reese Witherspoon versions. Plus, the soundtrack is amazing! Covers of modern songs. |
| I thought it was very good! The casting of Becky Sharp was really good, and her take on the character was faithful to the book. They covered a lot of ground in the handful of episodes, the costumes were gorgeous, and the pacing was more or less ok. Dobbin was too good-looking, though I like that actor a lot. Overall I definitely recommend this version! |

Just adding +1 to the above comments. I know no one has commented in a long time.
I watched this over 3 days and loved it. I’m a British lit fan, so it was especially fun for me. |

Me again. Also Rawdon was my favorite.
The camera made him look more and more good looking as he show went on. James Bond material maybe. |

I'm about 2/3 through the episodes and I'm finding it a bit dull. The two main actresses are good (Becky and Amelia) but the men are not that interesting (so far).
It is a hard story to tell well since so many of the characters seem to have more bad qualities than good. The Reese Witherspoon version has some serious flaws but I thought it at least had a very interesting George Osborne. In the Amazon version, George is very flat. |
