Title says it all. DD in a travel league that requires parents to volunteer or pay a fee. Totally fine with that. But, I have to plan the end of the year party (in March) and am unfamiliar with the Ashburn area, which is where the team is based and where most (not all) team members live.
Kids are 11/12 years old. TIA. |
| What kind of party? Like just food or an activity? There’s TopGolf but it’s expensive. There is ice skating, movie theaters. If just a party, every HOA in Ashburn has community clubhouses that you can rent. You need to give more info including budget. |
| If just food, Rubinos Pizza and Fuddruckers are good for team parties. The Zone is also a good place for parties. |
They've given me no other guidelines/guidance. I'm going to assume it is to be cheaply done (or the costs born per participant for any of those pay to play places). The kids don't know each other well and are all from different schools. So, I'm guessing some food, cake, maybe some thoughts from the coach. And if we wanted, some sort of activity (trampoline or something like that). I guess I'm asking for experiences as to where you have had EOY parties and what they were like. |

I live in DC. The only reason we go to Ashburn is to skate. I think it would be fun to hold a party at the rink. They have party rooms, and there’s a pretty good pizzeria that’s part of the complex.
No idea how such a party would compare to other local options in terms of cost, bc we don’t live in Ashburn. |
