Intent is to locate a new Montessori ES EOTR.
Anyone know how far along these plans are? Do they have a location in mind? |
| This is great news. |

Pretty far along. Goal is to open 19-20. They already have a principal ready to go, and I don't officially know about location but I'm sure they will release it before lottery.

And if they don't have a location confirmed (with signed lease) before the lottery, they will not be able to match anyone, although they can build a wait list (new rule for the 19-20 lottery). |
| Love Lee. Would like to see better PARCC performance but the school still does great on the PMF. |
| Is the principal hired for the new campus a person of color? |
1) Why are you asking? 2) The head of school for the next campus is a rockstar who has been shadowing Lee Edgewood leadership for almost two years, as well as leading the race and equity conversations and outreach that have been an important part of the community development. Mr. Brown is amazing and we will miss him on our campus! |
Yes. He presented at the last hearing in November. |
yes |
I really admire Mr. Brown after getting to know him for these last few years. I can't imagine a person better qualified for the job. Sad to see him go, but happy knowing that he's moving on to bigger and better things. |
| I hope the new campus is in Ward 7 |
