Gifts for pre-school teachers

Son is in his first year of half day Montessori and I'm not sure how to handle the holidays.

There is a director, and then a couple assistants, and then a couple part time people that I'm not even sure how much they work.

Is it common to do a card + gift / money for each of the teachers, including the director? Seems weird to give cash to the director for some reason.

I would do card + gift cards for the assistants and part time workers. I would do a edible gift or a starbucks gift card for the director!
