| This is a pretty good Christmas episode. |
| Yup! |
|
I'm watching! Was hoping to see Pete Davidson on Weekend Update.
|
| Pete Davidson posted on Instagram that he didn’t want to live anymore. That’s why he wasn’t on the episode tonight. |
He's got the world by the balls, but still can't get it together? Kid needs to get some help before he hits rock bottom, gets fired by SNL, and ends up dead in an alley. I watched tonight. I couldn't concentrate on Miley's song because I kept thinking she'd have a wardrobe malfunction and her little tata would slip out of weird silver jacket. |
| The cold open depressed me. |
He does get treatment. He’s a good example that mental illness doesn’t discriminate and can affect anyone. It’s not about how much money you have or how successful and talented you are. You can have those things and still be depressed or suicidal. |
You think he hasn't been getting help? He is getting help. Sometimes "help" isn't sufficient. That is the nature of illness. |
| Not since Eddie Murphy left. |
This what people are talking about when they refer to the mental health stigma. |

Matt Damon’s monologue (about watching SNL) was so sweet. Brought tears to my eyes!
(Many of us have fond memories of watching some tv programs like that.) |
| We record it and watch today usually. Looking forward to it! |
Yes! I liked the audience reaction—when you’re in the audience, you’re supposed to follow the “rules” and clap when the applause sign is on, laugh at the jokes, but otherwise not react or call out. The murmurs when he mentioned his dad’s death and then each similarity between himself and his kids were nice human moments. And the show was funny, too. |
