Prental vitamins and hair LOSS?

I'm 32 and just started TTC in July. I've been noticing a startling amount of hair loss in the shower and throughout the day and it has been making me crazy. I finally connected it to when I started taking Lifefitness prenatal vitamins about four months ago. It's the only thing I can think of that changed in my diet/lifestyle etc. I just finished the bottle and will definitely be changing brands. All I ever read is that prenatals are supposed to make hair GROW. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Not with prenatals, but several years ago I experienced hair loss with a brand of vegetarian multiple that had way too much vitamin A in it. (Schiff)

Did you stop taking birth control a month or two before your hair loss? I had been on the pill for about 15 years and then Nuva Ring for about 5 years after that, and when I stopped b. control to TTC, I had terrible hair loss for 2-3 months from the hormone changes. But it will stop at some point!

it's not the PNV's, but there could be numerous other causes like stopping BCP's or thyroid problems.

I would get your thyroid checked.
