Heading to the beach while on prometrium

Any tips for how to deal with prometrium while at the beach?

Ive heard the suppositories are terrible and leak. Will this be an issue for being at the beach?

Yes, they leak.

They will leak onto your bathing suit. It's not like it's gushing out the sides or anything. It's discharge like any other discharge. Plan to either rinse your bathing suit thoroughly or wash it after one wear.

I did the prometrium at night, and a tampon right before swimming. You lose some medication with a tampon, so would not put one in right after the medication. Also, I was on both prometrium and PIO. I know that either can be used alone, and that my RE just likes to double up, so I was less concerned about losing a tiny bit of medication.

I was always leakiest a couple of hours after insertion. You can put in a panty liner.

Just found out my new RE does not recommend PIO....I'm doing a happy dance!

I used a liner -- it fills with water but it protects your suit. It won't be likely to leak out of your suit.

Maybe ask about switching to PIO? The discharge is gross and even if it won't leak out of the bathing suit, it would not have put me in a very beachy mood.

I had the same issue last summer and it wasn't that bad. Just use wipes a few times a day to freshen up.

Yeah I was in this situation, and it's annoying. I ended up timing putting in the suppositories such that the leakage occurred before I put my bathing suit on. But a pantiliner could also help.
