Isabel Marant dicker boot

Ok I have been wanting these boots for a few years. Now I am kind of ready to bite $560 and buy them but am I too late??? Are they still in style or I should look at something else?

I bought a pair a couple of years ago and felt like I probably bought them too late. But I like the shoe and I'm still wearing it years later, so the reality is it's never too late if you like them. You could probably pick them up secondhand from someplace like therealreal for significantly less.

I still wear mine and love them.

Oh I love them. I hope they never go out of style.

(But for all I know they already have.)

Maybe scout a pair on eBay or Poshmark so it won't hurt as much if you only get a year or two out of them?

I just googled them. I don’t get it - these look like every other pair of boots at DSW.

I still wear and love mine and get compliments on them. I have two pairs actually - they are really comfortable and go with everything. They bring out a few new updates each season so I think they’re pretty classic, or at least will be around for a while.

How on earth could these boring boots be worth that much money?

I like the boots and I can afford them why am I a sheeple? They are not the same as boots from DSW btw I had similar Rag and Bone boots and the look is not the same.

Agree. And I don’t view them as fashionable anymore. The silhouette is pretty ugly.

Everyone on the Purse Forum was obsessed with these in 2010.

Yes, here is a link demonstrating how celebrities 'loved' these eight years ago.

If celebrities do something, you should too! Sheeple.

OP, if you're going to spend that much money that it's a sacrifice, you might as well get on the leading edge of what's fashionable in boots. These aren't 'over,' exactly, but $600 for a 10-year-ago profile is not a good investment for people who have to make choices. If you like the look, get it for less.

The fact that you know what these are tells us you do follow fashion to some extent (so don't say you don't care / "I just buy what I like"). Here's the current Isabel Marant boot style maker:

Those look much more difficult to walk in. Part of the appeal of the Dicker boot is that it's not only nice to look at, but very practical.

I understand worrying about looking out of date in the Dicker boots; I would think of them as rather timeless, given that they are quite simple, but I always scoff when people talk about "timeless" fashion because I know it just means they really like something they hope never goes out of style.

And LOL at the sheeple people - what the heck are you all doing in the B&F forum since you obviously have no need to give your clothes any thought, or talk about clothes and what you like and how it relates to what is in fashion, and all that?
