| Well, let’s just say I was underwhelmed by my IEP meeting. Fortunately we didn’t complete it and I get another crack at it. What supports should I be looking for? The team didn’t seem to have any clue. They were like, “uh...sit close to the teacher?” My son is almost 4. Thanks! |

It was useless and we dropped the IEP but we didn't do public preschool as I wasn't happy with the program.
I would want 30 minutes 2-3 days a week of 1-1 individual speech therapy, OT if needed, etc. Most public schools don't understand MERLD. |

My dd is four. She was offered the full day preschool (we are not local to this board) but I declined, so she gets 30 min x2 a week of speech/language therapy. Technically it's group, but one day she is alone and another day one other kid is there. We bring here to the school (itenerant services).
If she was in the school, I'd ask for OT also. I do that privately now. I would defenitely not drop the IEP. You can ask for changes to it later, if what they put in now isn't working out. |
