All inclusive Mexico resort for girlfriend getaway

Preferably adult only or not kid friendly. We want to fly nonstop so probably Cancun airport. I need a break and some sun.

Royal hideaway in playa del Carmen (easy 1 hour car ride from Cancun). All inclusive adults only with 4-5 restaurants. Beautiful.

Beloved. Definitely.

Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Esmeralda. It is a massive property with a wing for families and a wing for adults.

We stayed in the adults only portion (La Perla?) but the two sides converge too often for it to have been truly adults only for me. A lot of kids in the restaurants and in the common areas. I would avoid.

Love it here, but it's very very quiet with no options for after dinner. Maybe try Gran Velas?

LOVED Beloved but it seems like a couples spot, not a place for girlfriends to hang.

Can't go wrong with either of these 2.

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya. Within an hour of Cancun. Absolutely gorgeous new resort with great food, awesome beach and pools, unbelievable spa, and you are close to Tulum attractions. Seriously, the spa was the most luxurious I've ever experienced - would have been amazing to go with my girlfriends. We were there for a business trip and while it certainly caters to couples, singles would be fine as well. Just don't go during rainy season...

I would do Breathless if the girls are under 30. Excellence if they're 35+. It's a bit quieter, more reserved, slightly older guest profile. Breathless more active, more of a party environment. The 30-35 age group would be fine at either, I think.

We've stayed at both and loved it. One was less expensive and we didn't think it was worth the extra money at the more expensive one.
