P. Murphy should be sacked.

I thought Monique was going to cry.
Thank goodness they did not support BK's granfathering motion. Sliver of silver lining in the midst of everything else.

Does Reid Goldstein ALWAYS look so miserable or has it become more noticeable during this process?

I’m still not entirely sure what is happening with the Cody families at Long Branch. I have a feeling they were trotted out as warm bodies to fill Fleet and they will quietly be allowed to stay wherever they are.

Probably. It was all that anyone could pull out of their you know what after the admitted Fleet data mistake. Even if they do go there, prioritizing them over current Henry families is a bold move considering many of them are DOD civilians and not even active duty.

Cody does not choose them because they need a 6am start more than other active duty and DoD parents. That Cody system is just a wait it out game. I’m hoping that as APS digs into it they realize that.

Most of the Civilians I know who need a 6am start time do it out of choice for a flexible schedule.

Right. And that Long Branch is the only school in Arlington equipped to handle the super-unique DoD civilians kids. Never mind all the other schools all over Arlington... DC... Virginia.., Maryland... that enroll DoD and active duty kids and somehow figure out how to educate them...

It makes me feel better that he knows this process is miserable and a mess. At least he's not gloating about how wonderful it is to have 5 Pre-K classes at Drew.

I wasn't living in Arlington when APS made the decision to have Drew as a neighborhood school after Montessori left. Did the difficulty in filling the building with balanced school demographics? Did the boundary issues come up at all during that discussion?

What are Cody families?

So will the 5 pre K classes at Drew be for the neighborhood or country wide?

Wow, NvD says that "separate but equal" works in Arlington because we are special and we have so many resources.
