I wasn’t obsessed but I liked them! My daughter is reading the Sweet Valley Twins series.

The question is which one did you want to be?

Elizabeth

Me too!

I liked Jessica...Elizabeth was boring.

Thinking about them the memories are flossing back...I read them all but never got into the college series.

I read them as a 12 year old and thought that 16 was SO old and mature.

I was also obsessed. My mom used to let me go to the bookstore next to the grocery store while she shopped and I would sit in the back and read SVH. The owners were remarkably nice about it.

This book was an interesting read, though the author's tone annoyed me after a while. I was amused when she called Jessic Wakefield a sociopath, though.

I remember calling my friend from a payphone at the mall. I got just gotten the latest SVH from B Dalton, and I wanted to tell her that Regina was kidnapped!

Ha, I felt this way about the baby sitters club and couldn’t wait to be a very mature, stylish 16 year old with a steady boyfriend.

Nowadays, I don’t know any moms who would hire a teenager to watch their kids!

Loved this series! I remember my sister coming into my room and snatching up my jeans and looking at them and when I asked what she was doing she said quite seriously, "so this is what a 'perfect size 6' is, I wanted to know." For a long time I totally wanted a lavaliere without quite knowing what it was. And I was totally shocked in that one book where Bruce Patman untied Jessica's bikini top - so racy, haha.

Awww, you sound like me! This is how I spent most of my childhood.

Team Jessica all the way!

Who read the evil doppelgänger Margo books (I think they were around #100)?

I loved SVH! The old ones, though, like the others here have said. I liked Elizabeth better than Jessica. Jessica was way too self-centered for me.

I also loved the old Archie series. Betty - more like Elizabeth. Veronica - Jessica, in my eyes, if I had to make that comparison. I hate today's "new" Archies.

I loved the first Parent Trap better, even though that was way before my time.

Does this mean I'm out of touch and can't understand the next generation?
