Do you have twins from IUI?

Anonymous
I am a little stressed about IUI (if it works) resulting in twins- did you have twins from your IUI? 5% chance is low, but not nothing...

Nope. Singleton on third IUI with Clomid and Ovidrel. I never had more than one big follicle.

I think I had two or three mature follicles with Femara and Gonal-F and I am having a singleton from my IUI cycle.

Yep! First IUI. Kids are now 8.

Nope, singleton on the 3rd try and I had 3 mature follicles.

Pregnant with singleton after iui with 2 mature follicles.

I have two IUI babies - both singletons. I had 2 mature follicles the first time (letrozole) and 3 the second time (follistim). What meds are you taking?

What were your expectations like? I did an IUI with injectables and it failed and I'm not motivated to do 2-3 more. (prefer IVF but my RE wants me to give IUI more tries)

I'm about to do an IUI and was concerned about twins at first. I came around to thinking that if I had twins, our family would be "complete" in one go and I wouldn't have to worry about another round of infertility treatments in a few years...

Your RE works for you. If your RE has said the chance of success is higher w/ IVF, and you want to do IVF, then advocate for yourself...or find a new RE.

husband wants to do whatever RE wants to do since they're the expert. so that's the impasse.

5 rounds of IUI. 2 pregnancies. One of them ended with miscarriage. Both singletons.
