Looking for an alternative to Ikea for storage in my family room

Anonymous
But want to stick with an Ikea price. Any ideas? I need to fill a whole wall....about 5 or 6 feet long, and want the storage to have doors shelves. I just took down closet-maid wire shelves, with a curtain hiding them, so don't want to go that route again.

THANKS!

Check out www.cb2.com. It is by Crate & Barrel, but a bit cheaper.

The third in this price category/ style is West Elm.

are you kidding me?
neither WE or CB2 are in the same price range as Ikea.

They're direct competitors in their cheap n' modern category.

I'm aware of a price difference. I will also tell you that the companies aim for the same demographic of "looking for credible modern design on a budget".

For those not interested in Ikea for its design savvy but only for its low prices, may I suggest Target?

I suggest Target or Craigslist. Target's online selection is much more extensive than its in-store one.

What not IKEA? Simply looking for alternatives? IKEA probably has the widest selection.

If it is not the quality problem, then I suggest Target - the online Target. I think they actually have some elaborate organizational systems, but only online.

If you wanted something better quality but at a lower price, maybe search out the outlets in Leesburg. I have friends that got good furniture there. I imagine it is hit or miss. Or find a store you do like, and wait for Clearance Sales.

Sorry about the double post re viatoyboxes.com. It was a mis-type.

Pier One sometimes has cute solid wood bin-type things that would work well. Maybe a tad more expensive than IKEA, but not as much as CB2 or West Elm.
