goes to voicemail, cannot make my H1N1 apt...

Anyone have this problem?

I bet it's because they have canceled their upcoming H1N1 vaccine clinics because of a shortage of vaccine. I heard this on NPR this morning.

pp here, I actually just got through so keep trying! You will get a voicemail saying to call back during regular hours and then it will start ringing (I think it rang for 3 minutes for me). Then someone finally answered and I got an appointment so dont' give up. They said they still have doses left

I got busy signal or those messages to call back between 3-5. At 3:45, I called the general MoCo flu hotline, and they told me all the appointments were gone... I'm going to try DC flu clinic on Thursday. Does anyone knwo if they have thimerosol free vaccine there?

Hardy had Novartis single dose on Thursday. They gave it to be me because I am TTC and could be pregnant (too early to confirm that I am not). I was there not because of TTC but b/c of asthma.

OP here. Thank you for your help. Finally got through at about 3:30 pm, when I let the phone ring after the recorded message saying to call back... Are they stupid, or did they do it on purpose in a kind of sadistic Darwinism?!

For those without an appointment, DC is holding 2 clinics tomorrow Tuesday starting at 5pm (not sure where), and apparently they don't care if you are a DC resident or not. They theoretically have the Flumist and injectable form, some of which is supposed to be thimerosal-free. It is just a calculation of risk: will you contract the H1N1 during the 5pm Metro rush hour while going to the clinic?

You're so lucky you got an appointment! I called and called and called... I thought they'd forgotten to turn on their phones!
