Party ideas for teen boys for this month

Anonymous
Teen boy likes sporting activities. Planned to do paintball next weekend but weather does not look cooperative. Bowling alley near us recently closed. Kids are in swim and basketball teams so suspect they’d like to do something different with free time. Pizza & movie is option but am hoping someone has a more interesting idea. In Alexandria but willing to travel and can access military bases.

Don't most of the bases have a bowling alley? Walter Reed does.

I heard that the Alexandria escape room is really great, not sporty but fun and challenging teamwork. Is there a Top Golf near you? That could be fun for them. Also, perhaps a trampoline place like rebounders.

Escape Room is great!

Yes! We had a great time. We went to a Thai food restaurant after.

Escape quest in alexandria (bunker is perfect for teen boys)

Fort Belvoir's bowling alley is the nicest I have seen. They do cosmic bowling too.

Check out Sport Rock for indoor rock climbing. Just did it for my child’s 13th birthday. Most including my child had never done it before. Very fun.

Do that thing where you indoor skydive.

These are all great suggestions. Thank you so much. After 15 years I felt like I was running out of ideas! I have calls into a few of them to see if the timing will work.

How old is he?
My ds was invited to a little kid style bowling birthday party for a 15 year old last summer, complete with goody bags. It was a little bit much for a 15 year old to have their mommy plan their party and the guys unfortunately joked about it on the way home. Most guys that age just grab a few good friends and hang out for their birthday. If he’s turning 13, it’s still ok.

Goodie bag sure but if kids were making fun of bowling it's just a bad group of kids. Do they go to mater dei?
