| Any difference between ccs ccrm and pgs shady grove? Is it just different name for the same thing? Do they check all chromosomes in pgs at shady grove as well? I would like to know before deciding where to go |
| depends on the lab they outsource to. i think shady uses igenomix not sure what ccrm uses |
| CCRM does their CCS testing at their Colorado location. They don't send it out to a different lab. That said, it is essentially the same thing a pgs testing. |
|
According to CCRM, the only thing that's different is that they think they rule more embryos as "normal" than other labs like Igenomix. They said some labs have as many as 20-40% mosaic, while theirs is closer to the real-life mosaicism figure that's about 1-3%?
So basically they think other labs dismiss potentially good embryos out of an overabundance of caution. You can read more here: https://www.ccrmivf.com/news-events/ccrm-lowest-chromosomal-mosaicism-rates-usa/ |
