lupron side effects - advice needed!

I just started doing daily injections of 15 units of leuprolide acetate in preparation for IVF later this month. In my previous protocol (for IUI) I took 10 units. I have noticed some mild tightness in my chest that is occasionally uncomfortable if I take a deep breath. Should I be worried about this? (it's listed as a possible side effect, but I'm not sure how severe it's supposed to be before one seeks medical advice). Anyone else ever had this?

I didn't have any side effects with lupron, though I was on a smaller dose. If you're having even mild tightness, I'd pick up the phone right away and call your RE or nurse. With IVF, there's no need to have anything extra to worry about! Just call and put your mind at ease.

Hi there- I just started Lupron 3 days ago / 10 units in the a.m. and I haven't had any shortness of breath but I am experiencing horrible lupron rage and moodswings.

I've read about the chest tightness in other forums. It's probably worth a call to your RE just to make mention.

OP here - thanks for your responses. I'll check in with my doc tomorrow. I hadn't heard of this side effect until I looked it up, so I was wondering if I was just imagining it. But no need to take a chance.

I'm getting the moodswings, too, plus fuzzy brain (difficulty concentrating). I hope to God this is my last cycle. I've been TTC for a year and am exhausted. Starting to feel like I can't handle the drugs anymore.
