I'm a little embarrassed to admit the only reason I know about this is from a Pride & Prejudice meets Ice Skating fan fiction story I stumbled across. Charles Bingley was a men's figure skater from Newfoundland and set his Olympic free skate routine to "Welcome to the Rock." ....Anyway.

Like the first pp said, there's some language, but it's a good musical. If you want to prescreen it, the cast recording is on Spotify.

DOnt know about an 8 year old but my friend just saw it in Denver and said it was absolutely awesome. I wish is was coming to DC, or maybe it did and I missed it?

You know, it was here for a trial run before broadway and was at Fords Theater! Kicking myself for not going then.
