Not to brag, but I said Wilkie wasn’t a particularly good or prestigious firm way back in the first month of this thread. Not the first time in this lawsuit that has been borne out. |
Yup, I was one of the other posters who was yelled at and told the subpoena doesn’t matter but I decided to take the high road. That person was also wrong about their pre litigation theory. But they’re a “lawyer!!” |
I agree with this take. I'm totally against what they did, but I still don't think this will change the case nor make it in front of the jury. Now if I'm Freedman, I would certainly do as much as I could with this, and start sending discovery requests and interrogatories about Vanzan based on their claims in the Doe suit it's somehow related to whatever information they needed from Jones (should be relevant enough for discovery purposes which is broader than what is admissible as evidence). It doesn't change how I felt before... I think most of us except the most strident Lively supporters assumed this was a BS subpoena to cover their ass for information they already had, not a completely fake one completely unattached to a case. |
She was using Leo to get back at Ryan. Scarlett and Ryan were still together in August. They had just bought a house. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1303731/Scarlett-Johansson-Ryan-Reynolds-add-portfolio-stunning-1-8-million-L-A-home.html |
You likely feel that something’s off and it’s not adding up, because you are a normal sane person who doesn’t spend their entire life scheming. As another poster said Blake has a bad stage mom and I don’t know where Ryan gets it, but he was a child actor as well. They have been on a power trip from day one. They likely met on the set of Green Lantern and planned their whole celebrity coupledom from there. Probably Scarlett Johansson was growing up and onto Ryan and he knew that was going to be over soon. Within just a few months of them meeting, they cheekily combine their home towns and she had claimed his name even though they weren’t married and they set up a shell company. Who knows what they were trying to do with it, point is they’ve been scheming from the start. He was clearly in the whole Leo 2011 let’s get seen together to distract from the fact that he had to take a beat and disentangle from his marriage, and it’s been known for years that Leo has a set up with modeling agencies and he’s not really into the young women he pretends to date. it’s all a big scam and a scheme and they think we’re stupid, but with influencers everywhere now it’s getting a lot harder. And this is why I’m so bored with the lawyers arguing the legalese of this case because it really doesn’t matter - if they had just shut up and stayed in their lane, no one would be digging up the cobwebs like this. They are crushing their reputations with every passing day and that is what matters here, not the stupid legal case that is going to end up being settled anyway. It’s all a scam and has been from the start and now it’s unraveling in real time around them. Jen Garner, who truly is America’s sweetheart, just shaded Blake in a very public way. It’s just so clear that it’s over and they have no power anymore. |
You are trying to tell me, Scarlett and Ryan’s marriage was going to survive him setting up a company with another woman and her taking his name? Come on you can’t be that naïve. The publicists were at work to make sure Ryan could disengage from Scarlet and they wanted to make it seem like she was dating Leo. We didn’t know then, but we now know, that Leo does this all the time. Leo is into dudes and all the model dating is fake. He was happy to play the game with Blake. It helps his reputation as well. They weren’t really dating and she wasn’t getting back at Ryan. They were fully together. |
What did Jennifer Garner do to shade Blake? |
Only Blake had created the company and it wasn't Reynolds yet. It was still Blake lively. She created it in September 2010. Scarlett obviously didn't know about the affair when they bought the house. They officially announced their break up in December. |
| Taylor must be livid. Of all the shell companies to use in their sham lawsuit, they one with a connection to her. That friendship is dead. |
It was so petty! Here’s the TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@crimetimekenny/video/7493534022413389102 |
When is that? |

Am I the only lawyer in this thread who doesn't find the subpoena lawsuit that big of a deal? I am a little surprised they didn't just try to do a pre-litigation subpoena for records, but I guess if they did that, perhaps Wayfarer or Abel would have been told? I don't know how it works in NY.
Anyway, I don't get what people are worked up about. It's a little tricky but sometimes lawyers do tricky things to zealously advocate for their clients. This is not that big of a deal IMO. |
For those who don’t know the details, Blake used a company to shield the legal filings, Vanzan ******** US customs records list Vanzan as receiving two shipments of furniture, fabric and doors from The British Shop in 2019, delivered to Lively's address in Westchester County, New York. The imported goods were listed as for the attention of Molly Karow, a public relations officer who was also credited as a producer for Taylor Swift's I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor's Version) music video, which was directed by best friend Lively. Legal experts asked to review the Vanzan case by DailyMail.com warned the alleged scheme looked bad for Lively's legal team. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-14618807/blake-lively-shady-legal-maneuver-justin-baldoni-lawsuit-ends-us.html |
last August! Shady shady. I just checked and it’s the top pinned video on Jen Garner’s TikTok |
It’s a high profile case. There’s a lot of eyeballs. Does not set a good example. They manipulated the law to take away someone’s due process. Apparently the only thing standing between any of us and having our constitutional rights violated is a “tricky” lawyer. Judge should throw the book at them imo. |
