MIL won’t stop tickling husband

| My MIL tickles my husband every time she walks by him. She will do it dozens of times, it’s like an obsession. My husband hates it! He asked her to stop and she said he would understand when we have grown children and she wasn’t going to stop. She basically said “you’re my son, deal with it.” Is this really normal? |

| She’s weird. Inappropriate. He could shut it down but he’d have to hurt her feelings. Do you have kids at all? I can’t tell from the grown children comment. I’m guessing she doesn’t (or won’t) respect their boundaries either, because they’re the fruit of his loins, and she birthed him, so they’re practically hers to do with as she pleases as well. |

Not normal. He's going to have to be more forceful and risk upsetting her. I had someone who liked to do something similar to me as an adult and it didn't stop until I got angry and shouted at them.
How long has this been going on? Is it possible MIL is developing dementia? My grandmother started behaving inappropriately like this and in a socially "off" manner and it was her dementia advancing. |
