Anyone have luck with this? I get a ton of eggs but none are worth anything.
I had a similar situation. The two doctors I've seen since then both said they really did not like lupron stop protocols. This being said, I don't know how you respond on other protocols. Just in my experience, it did not work for me and two other doctors at two different centers didn't like it.
What protocol did you end up using?
low dose antagonist
This was the worst protocol I tried. I got fewer eggs than with estrogen priming and no blasts, but I also didn't get many blasts with any high dose protocol despite getting lots of eggs. For me, best quality with reasonable # was from a mini-IVF protocol like Cornell uses.
Is mini IVF like just low doses? Or is that Clomid, low dose follistim?

OP, here.
Started Lupron 10 units 7 days ago. Went in for my AFC count and bloodwork yesterday. 36. 36 AFC. WTH. Dr. Levy was in the room and said thats impossible! She has an AMH of 0.06 He immediately started looking at my file on the computer and asking questions about karotype/translocation, etc. At this point I don't know what we have tested for....he said he would talk to my doctor. I liked that he was shocked but really what now? Anyone have this happen? I started stims last night -225 follistim and 75 menopur. going for lowest doses of menopur. |
The protocol doesn’t affect quality only numbers.
I've been told on other threads that less menopur could increase quality.
day 4 estrogen was 89, day 6 is 75.....but 5 follicles are growing, about 20 in total. What's that mean if anything?
OP here, This cycle was an absolute bust. 13 eggs. Only 5 were mature, 3 fertilized. All looked good until fertilization then 50% fragmentation.
Sorry OP. Thanks for the update.
Sorry op, this was my experience with this protocol too unfortunately.
I'm sorry OP. I was told that any protocol does not affect the quality of the eggs, just the number. Is it possible there is a sperm issue?
|
Op here. The doctor continues to blame the sperm but we don’t have something to point at. The eggs looked great until fertilized. Then she said they saw immediate fragmentation. We’ve done every test we know of and nothing says sperm.
She mentioned that some of the other 8 eggs started divided before they were fertilized. She said it was like they took off at the starting line without the sperm. She found that very odd. |
