| My DC has only 1 grade entered so far in the 2nd quarter grade book. Is this fairly normal across the schools? |
| Didn't the 2nd quarter start just 2 weeks ago? |
| There have been assignments due, quizzes, and tests in all classes thus far. Do the teachers have guidelines regarding timely updates? |
| My principal requires at least 2 grades per week to be entered online. I am 100% she doesn't check. |

This is a big problem. Teachers don't update the grades. By the time they do, it's too late for the parent to suggest to the kid (or for the kid on his/her own initiative) to do anything about it and the kid has moved on.

| all you have to do send an email and CC the principal and vice principal |
Two grades per week is a lot. We have block scheduling and classes meet 2 or 3 times per week. I don’t give one test or quiz every class. There are homework and classeork grades but not every single class. |
For me, one of them is a participation grade for the week. The other is usually for classwork. My son's ELA teacher had nearly 70 assignments in the gradebook for the trimester. That was way too much IMO. |
Jerk move. 1st Q grades just went in and it’s the second week of Q2. They have had 8.5 days of school with TWDs and snow, block classes, and most major assignments were due end of Q1. Teachers had to write colllege recs, and teachers are traveling and getting ready for Thanksgiving too. Yes, this is normal for my two kids.. 2 different HSs. Because completion grades (and my kids homework is usually entered by Unit, not by day), they have not had time to teach, administer a test, and grade it. |

Yeah, too soon to expect anything. They just started the quarter.
But delayed updates are a HUGE issue. DD’s English teacher didn’t update a thing for 6 weeks. Then two days before quarter end, dropped it all in. Super frustrating. |
| Kids are expected to be in school all day, do homework, study for tests, and read for a couple hours or more after they get home from school, many do sports or other clubs or activities, dinner/family time, etc. IMO kids are doing their part, teachers should as well. |
| My child at LBSS has multiple second quarter grades entered in all classes except PE, (which is fine with me). |
