At home pregnancy test one day before blood test- accurate?!

Anonymous
We have been working with shady grove fertility to conceive first child. I don’t get my period or ovulte so I was put on clomid. I then took the trigger shot and now am taking progesterone pills. It’s been 17 days since the trigger shot and I have a blood pregnancy test scheduled for tomorrow morning. 2 at home pregnancy tests state pregnant( taken on day 16 and day 17) Any way this could be a false positive with the medicine I’ve been taking?

I’d be cautiously optimistic. SG tends to schedule your blood test later than other clinics, so at the end of your wait, the OTC tests tend to be accurate.

But there is always a chance of a false positive, of course. Good luck!

Like the pp said, keep open the possibility for disappointment but I think cautious optimism is reasonable OP!

If 17 days have passed since the trigger, it's very unlikely that it's a false positive. Hoping for a sticky bean for you, OP!

Yea, I’ve known people who have “tested out” the trigger shot, and longest it took that I’ve heard of was 10 days. I strongly suspect you are pregnant op. Congrats!

Congrats, OP! You are definitely pregnant!

17 days since the trigger? Yeah, you’re pregnant. Congrats!

Yep, pregnant! It’s smart to be cautiously optimistic until you get your blood test and beta numbers but congrats!!

Multiple IUIs with shady grove. Always took home test before blood test because I did not want to be blind sighted by the call. Every time home test was accurate to blood test.

Congrats!!

Yes the at home tests are very accurate at that stage. I hope your blood test confirmed the good news!
