DC Parks & Rec Play Dates

Has anyone tried the DC Parks & Rec Play Dates on professional development days for DCPS teachers? Just wondering if the kids are well supervised and have fun.

My son attended this past Friday and he loved it. I was a little concerned, but he had a blast. They played various organized games and went to a hunt house. My son was at Stead Rec Center and there almost more adults than kids. I was very impressed considering it is FREE!

Is it run in any way similar to the P&R summer camps? Same staff, same activities, same number of children?

We tried those last year and DC really DID NOT like it. No matter how convenient or how much of a bargain it is, it's just not worth it if your child is unhappy.
