| You can only deduct medical expenses that exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income, so it's probably moot (unless you are very low-income or you have a lot of other unreimbursed medical expenses). I'm guessing it wouldn't be considered eligible anyway, but it might depend on what documentation the ENT gave you around how medically necessary it was (versus just being preventative/helpful). If you have a health care FSA, you can always try submitting it there and see. |
