Any advice re: tomorrow's (Sat) clinics?

It's my understanding that Alexandria is having a clinic at George Washington Middle (9-2), and DC is having clinics (8-4) at Cardozo, Ballou, Eliot-Hine, and Kelly Miller. Any suggestions on where and when to go to have the quickest wait time?

I am interested to hear when people started lining up last saturday morning. After seeing Wilson last night (and not waiting in the line) I am fearful people are going to start lining up in the wee hours.

Mu hunch would be to go around 2-3pm when many kids are napping and/or getting ready for Halloween.

would guess, the farthest clinic from northwest. NW clinics have had highest turnout by far.

Go an hour or 2 before they are set to close. I heard they shut down the line at Wilson last night but hopefully they won't have to do that this weekend as the hours are much longer. We got ours at Hardy last weekend and it wasn't bad (about 1pm)

I think your list of schools was off. I took the au pair to McKinley Tech at 3:00 last saturdayand there was no one there. More nurses, police and volunteers than folks getting the shot. Very pleasant experience. Good luck.

I went to Hardy last Saturday at 9:30 am and it took about 1 1/2 hours, but by the time I left at 11:00 there was no line left. My advice is to not go early -- go later once the crowds have dissipated a bit.

You're right. Here's the website: http://doh.dc.gov/doh/cwp/view.asp?a=1370&q=604320&PM=1

I know several people who went last Saturday midday and had little to no wait time. Since tomorrow is Halloween I am guessing midday will be a good time.

Thanks for those who have posted timing advice, its helpful. I plan to go to Balou tomorrow -- has anyone who had been there and has timing advice? I am thinking of showing up around 11AM (after the morning crowds hopefully).

Go anywhere besides NW. Those lines are monsters. The clinics are open to adults with health conditions this week so I anticipate that the lines will be a lot worse this Saturday than last.

Also, I went last night to Hardy. The wait was longer for me, who arrives at 6:15, than for people who arrived at 4:30. FWIW.

Thinking of going to the Alexandria one since it's closest to us. For those that plan to go midday or later is there a way to check before you go if there are any vaccines left? We do public transportation and it would be a over an hour wasted if we went there and found out they were out.

i think the fact that Montgomery County and Fairfax had such little supply this week meant many more people coming to DC...so last week's experience might be less useful than last night when there were many more people on line....

I agree with PP, hard to base tomorrow on past experience. Last week and Saturday the DC clinics were not busy - people who had longest waits were those who went early in morning. Took me only an hour at Wilson last Saturday and I got there at noon. Was a breeze and they had plenty of vaccine left. Same experience of friends who went to other clinic locations in DC.

However, the lines dramatically increased this week at the clinics - I think because more VA/MD people coming over and they opened up to more priority groups. (and note: I have no problems with VA/MD people coming to DC). So those who took previous advice of arriving later were shut out.

All to say think no good answer on what to expect.

I would go to Kelly Miller. Went there on Tuesday and it was only a 40 mins wait. Great experience. I think the ones closer to Mo Co will be more crowded.
