Yeah - took my kid by surprise, but I believe other schools sometimes release earlier than they had said they would. |
| Colorado school of the mines. We’re looking forward to visiting! 😊 |
| One of my twins is in at Colorado School of Mines too. Waiting to hear from his ED school before deciding on visiting. |
| DS in at Wesleyan!!! |
| Delaware!! Yay! |
Congrats! Amazing school and location. Niece in at Barnard! |
Yes, Pitt is selective especially for some majors. I know a student who got in at Clemson but not Pitt. |
| My DS got into WashU! Private school in CA, 3.7 gpa UW, test optional, undecided major but his passion is music. He's over the moon! |
| In at U Rochester with 23K merit. |
| So nice to hear of all these!! Congrats all-around. 🎉 |
| My son got into Penn State yesterday. He has average grades but takes hard courses. He was in shock. He was expecting it after getting rejected by Pitt. Pitt was his clear first choice. But he is slowly becoming excited. |
Congrats! DS went to their ID camp twice and loved the school but didn’t get in. Ended up at Emory for business. |
What were his stats? My kid has been waiting on Pitt, submitted in early October. Hard classes, average grades, decent SAT (1300s) We are gearing for a rejection since it is taking so much longer than everyone else. |
Re Pitt, my DS has hard classes, strong upward trend, and average grades. He applied mid-October and was asked for mid year grades at the end of November. This is for Dietrich. |
Hofstra, like a lot of these small private colleges, give almost everyone some merit aid. My kid got $43K per year. They also got like $34K per year from Loyola Chicago. Waiting to see how much they get from Loyola Maryland, but I'm pretty sure it will be similar to Chicago. If only the large OOS publics that DC wants to go to would give DC a lot of merit aid. sigh. |
