Looking for family friendly beach front Caribbean condo or resort

We are planning a winter escape with another family. 4 adults and 4 kids, ages 6 mos - 4 years. We are looking for a beach front location to make it as easy as possible with the kids, but would like a resort with restaurant options and/or near a town for restaurants/groceries. A kitchen is a must! All adults are SCUBA certified, and planning to take turns diving.

Any recommendations from this well-traveled group?

Grand Cayman has everything you need. Stay on 7 mile beach --- there are resorts (Ritz Carlton, Westin) and condos. Check out Aqua Bay Club. Rent a car so you can be mobile. There's a large grocery store comparable to what we have here in the States. Great restaurants all over the island (Calypso is great). We took our 2 year old everywhere with us and didn't have any problems. People are friendly and the island is safe. And the diving is great (check out Red Sail Sports).
