Cough remedies for dry cough?

My daughter has a dry cough - left over from the flu - that is keeping her up at night. Does anyone know of any cough medicine that works? We tried Delsym today and it did nothing for her cough. Any other suggestions?

Be careful of cough med for little ones. Honey (as pure as you can get) really does work (they did studies on this, as crazy as it sounds).

Thanks. We did honey once last year and she threw it up immediately. Don't think she'll be willing to do that again.

Delsym does nothing for my son, either. The only thing that helps his cough is steam. We turn on the shower as hot as it will go and take him in there for 10-15 minutes with the door closed and fan off. I'm always amazed that it works so well. Good luck. I know that when my son is up coughing, I don't sleep either.

Oh dear. Second the steam shower and cool mist humidifier if you have one. Sending you and her hugs. It's hard.

Buy a cool mist humidifier if you don't have one. It makes an amazing difference.
