| Do you know anyone who always gets the LISS grant? Someone I know gets it every year. Is that common? |
|
I have gotten one just about every year.
Do you fill out the form carefully? |
|
I've been getting it every year since we moved here 4 yrs ago. Either Round 1 or 2.
I called/emailed LISS a few times and went to their presentation / listened to the Webinar to make sure that my application is complete and won't get rejected. Is there anyone that didn't get it? Why not? |
It's a lottery. If your name is not picked, you don't get it. |
| Is a person on medicaid eligible to apply? |
Apparently not carefully enough. |
| Are there any income, age, insurance or disability requirement to apply for LISS grants? |
https://dda.health.maryland.gov/Pages/liss.aspx |
It's for people with a developmental disability. Medicaid/waiver recipients are ineligible. Someone posted a helpful link with more details. |
| Have the round 2 results been sent? I never received anything. |
|
after I reached out by phone and email, the office called me to let me know that we did not make round 2, however if funds are available between Jan/Feb they will let us know.
We received a letter right after. |
| we apply each year. We do the application correctly. We get a letter accepting our application each year. Kid is 10. We have only been chosen once since it went to lottery. |
| If medicaid recipients are ineligible how is it that my friend is granted a LISS grant every year? Odd. |
