What flavor is your children's tamiflu suspension?

If your child has been prescribed Tamiflu and you have the syrup -- what flavor is it? Does it have a bitter taste? Is your child resisting getting it down?

My kids got the kind they made by grinding up the adult version. So bitter I couldn't get it into them.

Yup. THat's what problem I am having. HORRIBLE taste. Worse than antibiotics.

Terrible taste. We did cherry for our second child. First one bubble gum and did not mask the flavor. I ended up bribing with m&ms after their dose

Well my kid is sick as a dog and I can't get him to take it. I don't know what to do. Ideas?

How old? Use the syringe thing if you have one and shoot into side cheek and follow with something really yummy and maybe even "forbidden" who cares at this point. As mentioned, we did m&ms-- a while handful. Maybe gatoraid (gotta have those fluids) or a little icecream?

A few m&m's before the medicine, and a few afterwards. It helps mask the bitter taste.

I will try that, thanks... does it need to be m-n-ms, specifically? I don't have those -- I do have other Halloween candy though...

Horrible taste. I gave my 8 year old a small lollypop to suck on before and after the tamiflu. it helped a little, but still causes nausea. Will try when asleep. I'm also giving him gatorade (clear is great), and flavored water.

i gave my daughter the chocolate syrup you use to make chocolate Milk. By day 4 of tamiflu she was crying so hard at the thought of tasting that stuff!
