| If the other thread is really going to die, as you requested, then I’d like to make sure this video is in this thread as well. I found it helpful. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-tR4slb3ztE |
| My DS (14) would like to play futsal - how do I get him on a team? He plays travel soccer now and has played futsal where we used to live but it seems a lot of people form their own team? |
How you noticed the skill level of your DD and/or her teammates improve after 2 seasons of futsal? I am thinking about having my DD join a futsal team too. |
|
I'd love it if people would also chime in with some information about Maryland futsal.
|
| Who is the moron who started a new thread? |
Have you considered taking the lead and seeing if any of his teammates would like to form a team? Unless he plans on joining an official futsal program, that's what a lot of players do. |
This is a different subject, but if a kid "barely looks at a soccer ball at home" why do you have her in a competitive level of soccer? I feel like there ought to be a passion for soccer in the kids in the higher levels. |

FT futsal was an excellent experience for us last year. I only wish they had a first session to cover November - December.
Too bad Metro futsal couldnt come through with a first session futsal program this year. It was a huge disappointment that they started to take registrants and then cancelled the session. I will be incouraging our travel team to stick with First Touch again for the second session which starts in January. |
| I thought NCSL was defunct with all the top teams moving to ECNL, DS and EDP. Is it now a league for select or rec teams? |
May be well down the pecking order but still alive and ticking for many club's third teams, and some others top teams. D1 and Some D2 teams are pretty good. |
| The futsal tournament our team was going to participate in got canceled. Anyone know of other tournaments in December? Just found the one at the St James but not much else. Anywhere is DC Metro is fine. |

NCSL is now running a futsal league: http://ncsl-soccer.com/futsal/winter-2018-2019-futsal-league.

Are you implying that all travel players are passionate about soccer? Do you think all travel soccer players work on their own at home? Not even close! My son is on a U12 DA program and the kids aren't passionate or work at home. Most are naturally gifted and play at this level because they can to be frank. In all fairness, why not, because maybe the passion will come. No sense sitting in rec getting no quality training in general and then at 13 or 14 the kid does become passionate and it's too late. |
DA is a lot of commitment. If your son is not passionate about soccer, why do you send him to a DA team? |
