We received a mail a while back that said testing will be done after November 15. Will actual date be announced or will the test be a surprise?
Also, is the date going to be different for different schools? (We missed the MS magnet info meeting due to a family emergency.) Thanks! |
| The dates on the letters seem to be different, My kid is at one of the centers and their letter said tomorrow and a friend's at our home school says next Thursday (like your letter). It's one test CogAT for both schools. |
| Sorry, the above was on my phone, and I realize it was unclear. Fifth graders at different elementary schools may be taking the CogAT on different dates, but the test itself is good for both schools. So your kid will take one test that will be evaluated by two different magnet programs. |
| As the PP said, the date should be in the original letter. It will not be a surprise. There are procedures to follow if your child is sick on the day of the test, etc. |
We heard directly from our fifth grade teachers about the dates our school would be giving the test. |
| The letter we received from the county stated that the test at our child's school will be November 9. Another parent at another school said her school's testing will be November 19. |
| Each school decides the exact date within a given window. That's why your letters have different dates. |
The AEI office assigned the dates to each school. The central office has to coordinate the proctors. |
