I had my first implantation earlier this week and now on progesterone suppositories twice a day. The pill is white but my discharge s yellowish, is this normal? Also how do I know I am not losing dosage due to discharges? I had short luteal phase when TTC so am really careful to get enough progesterone.

| I think my pill was slightly off white and my discharge was mountain dew yellow. |
| Sounds like the same discharge I had when I was on the suppositories. As long as you’re inserting it as high as you can you’re fine, there will still be discharge but you’re still getting the needed effect. To insert I would always bear down, use my middle finger, and try to tuck the suppository between my cervix and vaginal wall. I also did the evening one right before bed too so there would be less discharge. Use pantiliners too if the discharge annoys you! |

Discharge as you describe is totally normal with the progesterone inserts, based on my experience.
I'm confused by your post, though, OP, since you mention "implantation". Did you have an IUI? Or an IVF/FET, and actually mean transfer? |
| FYI -- At least one company that makes generic Prometrium colors them RED. The discharge adds extra unwanted stress worrying whether it's the discharge or actual spotting. |
Sorry I meant to say transfer. It is my first cycle and now all I can think is implant, just a slip |
| Sounds exactly like what I'm experiencing post IUI - Dr says it's totally normal. Just a head's up, after a few weeks I started getting intensely itchy (like wakes me up in the middle of the night itchy). I found cotton underwear, changing the panty liner super frequently/going with out for a few hours before the night time dose, and sleeping underpants free in breezy bottoms helps. It's all about air flow I'm told... Good Luck!!! |
OP here, Thanks for the information. I got bloated very quickly. Hopefully nothing more. |
| IT's normal. The advice I got on here was to set the alarm for 1 hour before I normally get up, put in the suppository, go back to bed, and then get up and shower. It helped a lot with the nasty discharge. Best of luck to you! |

I don’t think you mean “implantation” or “transfer” if you had an IUI. You mean “insemination.”
I had a short luteal phase and secondary infertility. First try with a medicated IUI + progesterone did the trick for me! On my second trimester now. My progesterone suppositories were white and then (after refill) super yellow. So gross, I was leaking constantly. What a relief to be done! Best of luck to you! |
OP here, Congratulations, and thank you for your information. I meant to say embryo transfer, my situation is similar to you (short luteal and secondary infer.), instead of IUI I decided to do NCIVF, it has a higher success rate and not that much more expensive. still one week to go until my preg test. Finger crossed. |
