Health and Medicine
I would love to get the H1N1 vaccine, as would my husband, to help protect our newborn. Is there anywhere the vaccine would be available yet? Ped is out of vaccine, and OB/GYN is saving for pregnant women. It seems like the DC/MD clinics are pregnant women or children, and our kid sort of falls in a gap since his antibodies need to come through my BM. Thanks.
the fairfax county clinics give the vaccine to parents of babies less than 6 months old

If you are a DC resident DC has expanded its priority group to include caregivers of infants under 6 months. You can go to any free clinic in DC, they are at schools for the next few weeks.

PP here... per a prior thread, it doesn't look like DC requires any residency proof, although the website link I posted suggested otherwise.
OP, I just wanted to confirm that I called the DC DOH and they said that the clinics are open to non-residents.
Op - Fairfax clinics are also open to non-residents and, as PP above noted, are vaccinating parents of under 6-month infants. I went on Tuesday and got vaccinated, although the line was quite long. You and your husband can both get vaccinated there.
Oops, wanted to add that the Fairfax clinic I went to was Leesburg Pike in Falls Church.
Thanks so much! We will head to a clinic.
