I had a relapse a day after being well, and it is my third day of feeling crappy. Daughter (14 months old) tested positive for H1N1 on Tuesday, and is now back to normal.
I would muchrather be sick than her, but really need to be back on my feet. For those who have had it, how long until you were well? |
| I am just getting over it now, but I am also pregnant, so I don't know WHY I feel crappy anymore.... |
| I'm on day eight. I feel really wiped out -- but did clean the house from top to bottom yesterday, including lugging the vacuum up and down the steps. so not that bad anymore but not quite right yet, either. Still coughing. |

2 weeks. I have to say, I didn't feel like crap every day, ALL DAY. Some days, I'd be ok for half of the day, and then come 3pm I'd get the chills, and think I was going to die. Then by dinnertime, I was fine until the next morning. By fine, I mean, my throat still hurt a little, and I coughed, but I could function. There were only about 2-3 days where I felt like death ALL DAY, the others I'd be ok, then not. I also had maybe one or two good days, but would still get a fever late in the day. So, I think it depends.
But don't force yourself back into the real world. Your boss will understand, and your friends will hate you if you go out and get them all sick because you just neded to be well quickly. |

My son got it Friday (lightly), full blown Sat/Sun/Mon, and Wed/Thurs he's still coughing with a low grade fever. Doc says he's okay to go back tomorrow since his fever is only 99.1 for the past two days. DD got it Tuesday and today is still carrying a 101.3 with cough and sore throat.
So, I'd say it's at least 4 days, often longer if you count lingering cough and feeling weak. |
| It took me 11 days. On day 12 I felt normal. |
| im on day 4 , and my headache is the worst part , my eyes hurt really bad |
| My eyes hurt bad too. I started coming down with it last Tuesday, and I was out of work Thur/Friday and stayed out Monday. I am mostly well, but still coughing and my eyes hurt. |

DS got the fever Sunday, but was coughing starting Friday (I thought it was another cold). Got Tamiflu Tuesday and he woke up today feeling fine (no fever, but still cough).
DD got the fever Monday and started tamiflu yesterday and still has a fever up to 103. I am planning to keep them out of school for the rest of the week so we don't infect other people. Just because the fever goes away does not mean you aren't contagious. Hello cough! |
